The Avon door handles on rose From The Anvil are available as Sprung or Un-Sprung levers in a Black, Pewter or External Beeswax finish. The handles can be used on a multitude of heavy duty or standard locks to suit internal or external applications. The Un Sprung handles allow use with multi point locks and french door kits.

From The Anvils Beeswax finish is an authentic finish for steel and should only be used for internal use only, the External Beeswax finish is manufactured from an anti-corrosive beeswax making it suitable for internal and external use.

Locks & Latches
When choosing door handles we would always recommend that the Tubular Latches, Sash Locks or Bathroom Locks that you use in your doors have a big enough backset, (distance between the edge of the door and the spindle hole), so that the door handle is far enough away from the door frame. Normally a minimum latch length would be 3" or 76mm giving you a backset of 57mm to the centre of the spindle, however depending on the type of door you have you may prefer an even longer latch.
Sprung or Unsprung
Some of the door handles which we supply are unsprung, when fitting a pair of unsprung handles it is important to fit architectural double sprung latches and locks. Sprung door handles have a spring mechanism incorporated in one side of the rose to assist in returning the handle lever and the latch or lock to the neutral position when released. All the latches and locks available on our online store are suitable for sprung door handles however we would still recommend the use of architectural locks and latches.
