Door Handle Types

Door Handle Latchset The Latchset is used on standard internal doors and requires a tubular latch to be fitted in the door.

Door Handle Lockset The Lockset is used on any doors you want to lock with a key and requires a sash lock to be fitted in the door.

Door Handle Bathroom Set The Bathroom Set is used on bathrooms and cloakroom doors and requires a bathroom sash lock to be fitted in the door.

Locks & Latches

Normally a 2.5 inch / 64mm latch or lock or a 3 inch / 76mm latch or lock will be fine.

The length of the latch or lock determines the backset which is the distance from the edge of the door to the centre of the backplate on the door handle where the spindle passes through the door.

The backset on a 64mm latch or lock is approx 45mm and on a 76mm latch or lock is approx 57mm.
