Slate hooks are normally used as an alternative to copper nails and can be used for fixing roofing slates. These hooks are made from grade 304 stainless steel and black coated. Supplied in boxes of 500 and come in either 80mm or 100mm. As a general rule the length of hooks required equal the heap lap + 2-3mm.

Please note that the coating is purely decorative and does not influence the resistance to corrosion of the material. Often used to make small repairs or while replacing individual slates. If you are fitting these in a coastal area we would suggest purchasing the 316 stainless steel slate hooks.
