Slate hooks are normally used as an alternative to copper nails and can be used for fixing roofing slates. These hooks are made from grade 316 stainless steel and black coated. Supplied in boxes of 500 and come in either 100mm or 150mm. As a general rule the length of hooks required equal the heap lap + 2-3mm.

Please note that the coating is purely decorative and does not influence the resistance to corrosion of the material. Grade 316 stainless steel slate hooks can be guaranteed in areas of severe coastal exposure ie: coastal areas. Often used to make small repairs or while replacing individual slates.
