York British Standard 5 lever dead lock for added security in the home or office with a solid brass bolt. These dead locks can be used to supplement exisiting locks such as nightlatches and where a separate form of security is required from either side of the door. Available in 64mm and 76mm lengths in Satin Stainless Steel or Polished Brass finish. Supplied complete with striker plate, forend plate, 2 keys and screws.

Locks & Latches
Normally a 2.5 inch / 64mm latch or lock or a 3 inch / 76mm latch or lock will be fine.
The length of the latch or lock determines the backset which is the distance from the edge of the door to the centre of the backplate on the door handle where the spindle passes through the door.
The backset on a 64mm latch or lock is approx 45mm and on a 76mm latch or lock is approx 57mm.
