Smart latch is a innovative latch that combines both function and style. The smart latch has been specifically designed to enhance the aesthetics of a door. Comes with a rotating bolt for universal handing. The latch can be fitted in under 5 minutes saving you a third of the time than a standard latch would. Supplied with two different striker plates to be used depending on whether you have a new build or are replacing an existing striker plate. Available in Polished Chrome, Satin Nickel, Black Nickel or Antique Brass.
The drill bit that is needed to fit this latch is also available to purchase. It is made from high quality carbon steel with 1/4" hex shank, angled cutting head and precision ground locating point. For fast accurate drilling into hardwoods, softwoods and man-made timber products. Suitable for most power drills and hand braces.

Locks & Latches
Normally a 2.5 inch / 64mm latch or lock or a 3 inch / 76mm latch or lock will be fine.
The length of the latch or lock determines the backset which is the distance from the edge of the door to the centre of the backplate on the door handle where the spindle passes through the door.
The backset on a 64mm latch or lock is approx 45mm and on a 76mm latch or lock is approx 57mm.
